Toronto, Canada – GAO Embedded has launched this 13.56MHz RFID reader module, which is a direct replacement for magnetic stripe reader modules in order to convert existing applications and hardware into RFID-based technology. The high performance module includes security features and consumes little power. This embedded reader, together with a built-in antenna, supports a read/write range from 20mm to 50mm with ISO compliant cards. This HF RFID reader module, model 713003, allows existing installations to retain most of its hardware infrastructure and change to a more secure technology. There are several frequencies and RFID coding options available. The unit is encapsulated within an ABS case for protection from industrial environments.
